Hi
My name is Rick. I'm originally from the North side of Chicago.
I am a UX/UI designer with a background in graphic design, e-commerce, and business analysis for digital and print. I enjoy creating visually appealing and intuitive digital products. I enjoy working collaboratively on projects that provide visual and intellectual challenges.
I would love to tell you about some of the following:
--My work with McDonald's Corporation's "Choose Your Taste" campaign.
--The UX Research for the Treasury Accounting application GTreasury.
--My work for Beam Suntory's various brands.
Please review my work and contact me to discuss your needs. I am excited to discover how we can work together!
You can't create great designs without empathy. Design involves reaching a shared message of the company or organization and making the voice that tells that message. The only way you discover that message is through listening. User Experience provides that the product behaves to expectations. Development putting all the pieces together, using all the ingredients, and honoring the spirit of the product with a watchful eye toward usability.
A lot of design and UX isn't fully realized until the software developers pull everything together and view it on a mobile device or web browser. The developer is the first person to see how things are working together; commonly, a missed opportunity as a dev team is encouraged to finish their tasks as punched tickets. However, all too often, because in the development cycle, teams are siloed, there is a gap in the handoff from the developers. In the process, collaboration is needed to bring good products together. Collaboration requires listening, and good listening involves empathy.
