Site Map, User Flow, Low Fidelity Mockups, High Fidelity Mockups, UI Library.
The Problem
The Michael J Fox Foundation wanted to improve the user's ability to research better information relating to Parkinson's disease. A bookmark library was to be added to the existing page functionality. Built on Drupal, the site enhancement would allow users to bookmark, delete and suggest pages based on selection.
The Solution
Creating a User flow for how the application would function. I created mock-ups and designs to show how the application would function.
Working closely with business stakeholders, I designed using established brand colors and typography established from existing website areas to ensure uniformity in CTA's, articles, panels, and forms using these design guidelines.

After user interface elements and libraries are established and approved designs are created for multiple screen resolutions.

Prototyping
Initially starting with InVision to diagram userflows, I would then go to Zepplin where design repositories were maintained and bring the elements into Figma for layout. Each phase of this process was reviewed by stakeholders for alignment.
In Summary
Designing for the MJFF was an exhilarating experience. The research process was rewarding to find out more about how Parkinson's Disease affects not only those who are diagnosed with it but their families and friends as well.  One of the biggest challenges during this project was adhering to the existing branding design guidelines when developing the UI design. Following the style guide gave me the resources required to create a seamless look and feel for existing website elements. Overall I found this project to be very satisfying because I got the chance to design for a community that is inspirational and based on compassion, caring, and never giving in to life's adversity.
